Dr. Hedrick obtained his BS in Engineering Nuclear Physics from University of Chicago and then went on to complete his medical degree from Pritzer School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Kentucky. He is a board certified pediatrician. 

Dr. Hedrick  started Physicians to Children in 1977. Dr. Hedrick is married to Dr. Janice Lantz. He has two daughters Dr. Rebecca Hedrick who is a Psychiatrist at Cedar Sinai in California, and Sarah Hedrick who is a graphic designer. He has one granddaughter, Morgan. 

Dr. Hedrick and his wife Jan love to travel and have been to 50+ Countries.  Dr. Hedrick is partially retired, but enjoys returning to the office when not traveling to "fill in."
