Dr. Blackmon is originally from Bardstown, and is a Bardstown High School Graduate.  She completed her undergraduate school at the University of Kentucky with a degree in Chemistry and graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.  She completed her pediatric residency at Kentucky Children's Hospital in 2013 and then returned home to join the Physicians to Children family.  She has made her home in Bardstown, along with her husband, who is a dentist.  They have two daughters, Lydia and Charlotte, who attend Bardstown City Schools, where Dr. Blackmon also is proud to serve as a School Board Member at her alma mater.
