Stan Block, MD FAAP
Dr. Block attended medical school at the University of Kentucky and completed his pediatric residency at Wake Forest University. He is a board certified pediatrician and has been re-certified by the AAP. Dr. Block is a nationally recognized speaker in infectious diseases, vaccines, general pediatrics and ADHD. When he is not seeing patients he enjoys being a reviewer, writer, and editorial board: Pediatric Annuals and Infectious Diseases in Children. He is also a reviewer for the CDC/NIH federal vaccine grants. Dr. Block has received numerous national awards including 1998 Researcher of the year and in 2004 he was honored as UK Distinguished Alumnus Award. He has authored or co-authored 140+ peer reviewed medical articles, including vital vaccines. Perhaps most special, he was locally voted Best Pediatrician 2010-2014 by the Bardstown Community.
Dr. Block has four daughters and nine grandchildren and is now "semi-retired" but you will still see him in the office to "fill in", and enjoys seeing all of his beloved patients.
